When to change – actual expiry date is the 3rd Friday of March, June, September and December( corresponding contract letters are H, M, U, and Z), rollover date is usually the 2nd Thursday of the same month.  Traders usually switch on the rollover date.

  • is the “Enable API and Socket Clients” option in TWS checked?
  • is your firewall is blocking BT?
  • is the port number in BT  the same as the port number in TWS (default is 7496 if you did not change anything) – to check the port in TWS, go to the “All API Settings” option in the Configure menu
  • is the IP Address correct – go to the Preferences menu in BT, click Connect to IB – try the following for the IP Address – a. blank (no entry)  b. 127.0.0.1  c. click the “Local IP ” button to get the local IP in your system

No more lifetime free upgrades for just $100.  If you have been using the unregistered version of BT for sometime, this is a good time to avail of the one-time registration before the switch.  All those who has registered before the switch will already be “grandfathered”. Of course, if you want to support the further development of BT, you can always switch to an annual registration anytime later.

Too many  minor adjustments in the code to mention, nothing new, but should be more stable.
