Bracket Trader changes

Beginning September 1, 2010, registration of BT will be on an annual basis. No more lifetime free upgrades for just $100.  If you have been using the unregistered version of BT for sometime, this is a good time to avail of the one-time registration before the switch.  All those who has registered before the switch will already be “grandfathered”. Of course, if you want to support the further development of BT, you can always switch to an annual registration anytime later.

I would like to know what symbols can be added once I become a registered member. I’m interested in adding CL and 6E Futures which are not part of the default list right now. Thank you.

You can enter any stock, futures or cash symbol that is available for trading at IB. I’m working on an options only version.

I am having difficult connecting to IB. I have talked to IB and have done everything on their end. The connection box does not come up. and BT says trying to connect. Please help.

  5. Allen says:

BT wouldn’t connect with new TWS upgrade today. Had to go back to previous TWS. Is that correct for now?

Also now that I’ve come to this blog, I see this new registration.

As a registered user for a few years now, I have no idea how I will be effected. Can someone explain?

    • larrysy says:

Go to Preferences menu, click Connect to IB , then click Local IP.

Current registered users up to the switch will have a “forever” license.

    Hi,
I have read about the new subscription conditions. Have I got it right that BT is now for free using just for one month and after this trial period I have to pay registration fee for using? And then I will be asked to pay this fee every year?

    Thanks fo answer

Please tell me your conditions to use BT, I see you only have annual and no lifetime subscription!

    • larrysy says:

The lifetime subscription is available only to users who have been using BT since 2002 up to the promotion month before the switch.

  11. Greg Hollick says:

    Larry,

After the initial $100 registration, how much will the annual fee be each year?

  12. Adam says:

    Larry,

I am thinking about registering but have a few questions.

Is it possible to add more than three exit targets? I have a strategy that has 5 exit targets.

Is it possible to set a different quantity for each exit target? I have a strategy that scales out in decreasing amounts.

Is it possible to manually change the stop while keeping the targets the same?
    Thanks

I use a multiple computer setup. Can BT be run on more than 1 computer at the same time? Also, I have several IB accounts.
Does it make any difference which one is used for connection?

    Thanks.
