Install problem w API

Hi there,

I get an error "the api is not registered properly. re install api 962.

i tried several times and did a clean re-install. getting frustrated.

any suggestions ??

Hello,

I get the same error message "The API is not registered properly in your system. Re-install api 962.". BT will not open after that.
I run windows XP Professional, TWS is Build 898.4.
I installed API 962 from IB. I got the same error message with Bracket Trader 07.0130a75 and Version 07.0130a76.
I installed API 962 several times, doesn´t help.
What have I to enable/disable in TWS under configure/API (all without DDE clients is enable?)? Maybe somebody can post a screenshot. Socket port. is 7496 right?
Markets will open soon and I need a solution for marking money.

Hi johangas and all,

a very good friend had weeks ago the same problem.
He installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable, file name is vcredist_x86.exe (2.624kB).
I installed this exe, after removing API and Bracket Trader. Restart the PC, new installation of API and Bracket Trader 07.0130a75.
Now all is runing very well, without any problems.
If you want the exe file, write here a note with you email, I will send it to you.
